Dr. Thomas works for Dunlap and Associates as a research psychologist, specializing in highway safety and air safety research.
Dr. Dennis Thomas
Dr. Dennis Thomas graduated from Samford in 2001 with a BA in Psychology. He played baseball for the university and was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, for which he served as chaplain. After graduation, Dr. Thomas moved to Connecticut to attend graduate school at the University of Connecticut. While in graduate school, Dr. Thomas interned with Dunlap and Associates, a firm that specializes in human factors consulting. After a brief hiatus from graduate school during which Dr. Thomas worked for Dunlap and Associates full time, he completed his Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology during the summer of 2009. He is extremely grateful for his Samford education, which helped prepare him for the success that he experiences today.
"Dr. Chew and the Psychology Department provided a strong basis for what I was going to learn in graduate school,” Thomas said. “I applied that knowledge every day."
Dr. Thomas currently resides in Norwalk, Connecticut. He works for Dunlap and Associates as a research psychologist, specializing in highway safety and air safety research.
