Associate Professor
Dr. David Foreman began teaching at Samford University in 1986. Over the past two decades, he has instructed scores of mathematics majors, mainly in linear algebra, abstract algebra, and number theory. Dr. Foreman treasures the friendships with these students and still enjoys communicating with many of them. As well, he has taught calculus to many Samford students. In addition to classroom responsibilities, Dr. Foreman pursues research in number theory.
Outside of his interests in mathematics, he loves listening to classical music and reading. He and his wife Elvia have two daughters - Julie is a speech pathologist in Austin, Texas, and Emily is a biology major at Baylor University. The Foremans are active members at Brookwood Baptist Church, where Dr. Foreman teaches a Bible class.
